Belfast Streets Ahead Programme
Farrans Construction are delighted to have been awarded the prestigious contract for Phase 1 of the Belfast Streets Ahead Programme.
This very exciting project will see the shopping streets in Belfast transformed to world class standards and will help Belfast to compete with the very best city centres in Europe.
We are looking forward to working together with the Department of Social Development and their landscape and urban design consultants EDAW, in making this visionary project a reality.
Work will be carried out on an area-based construction programme and is expected to be completed in 2009. The streets and areas included in Phase 1 are:
- Ann Street
- Castle Lane
- Corn Market
- Arthur Street
- Callender Street
- Arthur Place
- Castle Street
- Fountain Street
- College Street
- Fountain Lane
- Queen Street
Unfortunately, with a project of this scale and nature, some disruption is inevitable. However, we will be doing everything that we can to keep any inconvenience to an absolute minimum. We will be working very closely with Belfast City Centre Management and with the traders to ensure that everyone is kept fully up-to-date on the programme of works and to address any issues which may arise. We will also be keeping this web page fully up-to-date as the work progresses.
