N. Ireland (Building)
The
Building Department in N.Ireland has been, and continues to be, associated with many of the key building projects throughout the province.
To name but a few, Castlereagh CTCC (value £7.35m), major works at Altnagelvin Hospital (£33m), ongoing works at Belfast International Airport, major Private Development Sites within the Lisburn/Belfast areas (£90m) and the recently completed Victoria Square Regeneration Project (value £150m) and the Outlet Centre at Banbridge (£27m).
Farrans was a major player in the first PPP Pathfinder projects in the Education Sector in Northern Ireland, which included the North West College, Londonderry. Wellington & Balmoral Colleges, Belfast, as well as the Belfast Institute for Further and Higher Education (BIFHE).
We continue this record, having recently commenced work on the new Templepatrick Primary School, Lisburn Institute and the Belfast Boys' and Girls' Model Schools. Also, Farrans have recently commenced work on 3 schools, as part of a consortium for the 'Smarter Schools for Scotland' PPP contract, which will deliver 11 schools in Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland.
Unique in the building sector, Farrans offer a strong, in-house, civil engineering capability.
Farrans strength is based on the quality of its personnel, particularly the quality of Project Managers, Planners, Design Co-ordinators, Supply Chain Managers and Cost Managers.
