Farrans Utilities comprises an experienced engineering and construction team working throughout the UK and Ireland on water, wastewater, gas, energy and telecommunications assets of all sizes. We design and construct pipelines for water, wastewater and gas; pumping stations, treatment and storage facilities for water and wastewater; and buried cable, substations and converters for energy. We also operate on local utility infrastructure above and below ground where our capability includes the repair and renewal of existing services, new service installations, diversionary projects, customer connections and meter installations.
We offer a complete service from pre-construction to commissioning incorporating the modelling process, management of detailed design, planning and statutory notifications, community liaison, network operator interaction, customer notifications and management, site preparation, construction, testing, commissioning, handover and compilation of as-built data in various formats.
By deploying a highly effective design and enabling process and by working with specialist techniques such as trenchless installation, prefabrication and pre-chlorination we can deliver robust, low-impact, cost efficient solutions.
Our most recent successes are on frameworks and projects for Scottish Water, Northumbrian Water, Essex and Suffolk Water, Affinity Water, NI Water, Dublin City Water Department, United Utilities, Scottish & Southern Energy and Scottish Gas Networks. We also deploy our expertise on regeneration projects for the public and private sector.
