Belfast Streets Ahead Project Achieves Second CEEQUAL Award

In November 2011 the Belfast Streets Ahead project achieved an Excellent Graded CEEQUAL Award for Area 2 with a score of 83.4% adding to the previous Excellent award (78.1%) achieved in November 2010 for Areas 1 & 3. Roger Venables (Chief Executive, CEEQUAL) presented both awards.

The CEEQUAL awards achieved by the Project demonstrate that the works carried out on the Belfast Streets Ahead Project recognised the attainment of excellent environmental practice in the civil engineering project; delivered improved environmental performance in project specification, design and construction and created a climate of environmental awareness and continuous improvement to the industry. Sustainability is a large past of the CEEQUAL award scheme and encourages that Sustainability Action Plans are used to assist in the procurement and setting goals at the outset of the project.
