Belfast Grand Central Station construction partners raise over £60,000 for local charities
Construction partners involved in the delivery of Belfast Grand Central Station for Translink have raised over £60,000 for local charities since the project started.
The largest event was a charity ball held at the Ulster Transport Museum where Farrans Sacyr JV, Babcock, Translink and Graham came together to raise £21,000 for a range of local charities including Air Ambulance NI, Marie Curie, NI Chest, Heart and Stroke and Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Belfast Grand Central Station is the largest fully integrated transport hub on the island of Ireland and it is expected to welcome 20 million passenger journeys a year. The Station is already playing a critical role in encouraging greater use of public transport and reducing air pollution for a cleaner, greener city and region.
