Celebrating Pride 2025 in Farrans

It’s Pride month and we are taking action to support, listen and learn in order to become better allies for our friends, family and colleagues.

Pride serves as a vital platform to shed light on the ongoing inequalities in society and the persecution faced by LGBTQ+ individuals in various regions around the globe.

Earlier this year we launched a new Inclusion and Engagement Action Plan as we continue to enhance our approach to ensuring a welcoming and supportive working environment for all of our colleagues.

Everyone is welcome at Farrans. This is an important part of our culture which we want to protect as well as ensure that we make progress in the areas which we know need more work.

It is an agile plan which will develop with input from our Inclusion Champions so that we are delivering action in line with what our people want.

Our Pride 2025 activities include:

• Hosting a day of events at our sites and office locations on Thursday 26th June including a Pride pizza party at our head office in Belfast.
• All of our colleagues can apply to receive a free Pride t-shirt to wear to our events or to a Pride parade of their choice.
• We have created a bank of assets for Farrans’ teams to make use of including email signatures, Teams backgrounds and social media posts.
• A set of Pride posters have been provided to decorate our spaces with messages of celebration and support.
• We have made a range of resources available on our company Intranet including a Lunch and Learn session with Hayley Creighton, DEI Programme Manager, from National Grid Group who spoke to Farrans on how to be an ally.
