Farrans’ Apprentice Planner awarded ICE Scholarship

Congratulations to our Apprentice Planner Niamh Colton, who has been awarded an ICE QUEST Technician Scholarship.

The application process opened for a month between October and November 2025. Niamh was selected for an interview in January 2026 with ICE representatives. This bursary will be put towards study and progression within higher education.

Niamh started with us in summer 2024 working across our Uisce Eireann and NI Water Frameworks.

She is now working towards completing her Graduate Foundation Degree in June 2027 before proceeding onto a degree top-up while continuing to work alongside.

Niamh was presented with her certificate last week at an event in Arup in Belfast.
