26.06.2025

We are delighted to have been certified with ISO 14064-1 through the Achilles Carbon Reduce Programme, an internationally recognised verification accreditation.

Through the Achilles Carbon Reduce Programme we have been able to measure and verify all emissions under ISO 14064- 1 and the GHG Protocol for our Scope 1, 2 and Scope 3 emissions.

The Carbon Reduce annual audit cycle will continue to support our journey to reduce carbon and align with the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C – the highest ambition of the Paris Agreement.

Farrans have become ISO 14064-1 accredited through Achilles and Toitū’s independent verification audits, ensuring we met the requirements of the programme having measured our GHG emissions in accordance with the ISO standard.

Through the Achilles Carbon Reduce programme we have a clearly defined pathway that enables our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions to be collected, independently measured, targets to be set and strategies implemented to enable business emissions to be systematically reduced using the application of science-based tools, actions, and evidence.

Victoria Johnston, Sustainability Advisor at Farrans said: “We are committed to achieving meaningful climate action and emissions reduction. Using the programme we have been able to credibly demonstrate how we are managing our carbon emissions, reinforcing our commitment to the reduction in our company’s impact on the environment.

“This has been a collective effort across the business and I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved for all their hard work and for everyone’s efforts to reduce Farrans impact on the global climate.”
