Farrans’ project team take on tree planting volunteering day in Sonning Common

Farrans’ project team delivering the Widmore Park retirement community for Inspired Villages in Sonning Common have swapped their hard hats for spades to take part in a volunteering day with ECO SoCo.

Eco SoCo is an inclusive, welcoming group devoted to implementing positive actions to safeguard and enhance Sonning Common village’s natural environment.

Farrans has supported the organisation on a number of initiatives during the last year including making a donation towards a community Repair Café, volunteering in a community garden and funding rain water butts for five orchard locations close to the village.

As part of the volunteering day Farrans joined Eco SoCo and Oxfordshire County Council to plant 31 fruit trees, including apple, plum, cherry and pear trees.
