Farrans to host Design Sprint at Northumbrian Water’s Innovation Festival
As a partner contractor on NWG (Northumbrian Water Group)‘s AMP7 framework, we are excited to be involved in its ‘Brilliant Get-Together’ Innovation Festival on 18-21 October.
Farrans is hosting a four day innovation Sprint, a structured process for moving from a significant problem to a tested prototype solution in 5 stages. We are asking the question ‘How can we be more effective in sharing innovations that support fulfilling our basic human needs and protecting the source of life?’
This four day innovation Sprint will work collaboratively to harness innovations from other sectors including Transportation (Highways, Rail and Aviation), Energy and Marine. The ambition is to harness concepts through to existing solutions from other clients (e.g. Highways England and Network Rail) contractors, stakeholders and the supply chain.
The duration of this sprint will be over four days with a ‘real’ presence on 18th and 19th October in Essex and Suffolk Water’s Hanningfield office and the North East on 20th and 21st October.
Daniel Jackson, our senior business development manager for civil engineering in England, will be leading the Sprint. He said: “The Innovation Festival is going to be a brilliant opportunity for a wide range of talent to come together to deliver solutions to real life challenges. We want to hear from any of our existing and new suppliers to learn more about their innovations and this festival will facilitate those conversations.”
Farrans is active in the water sector across the UK and Ireland, delivering high profile projects for clients like Irish Water, Northern Ireland Water, Affinity Water and Anglian Water
