
Gull Wing wins Bridge Design and Construction Award
Gull Wing took home the Bridges Design and Construction Award (above £10 million) at the Bridges Awards 2025 which took place last night in the CBS Arena in Coventry.
Dubbed the ‘Battle of the Bridges’ two Farrans’ constructed bridges were up against each other in the same category, with Herring Bridge completed in February 2024 by BAM Farrans JV.
Gull Wing was also shortlisted in the Bridges Ethos Award.
The judges said:
“A challenging engineering design only achieved by collaboration with all parties, a real showpiece of engineering.”
“High level engineering.”
“An interesting design that provides a landmark bridge.”
“A great example of a challenging project that has embraced the opportunities to innovate and create a landmark bridge.”
