Farrans was delighted to last week support an Easter Trail and Family Fun Day in People’s Park, Portadown, with the chocolate eggs kindly donated by Farrans and the Lord Mayor’s Office.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon's nominated charity – the Downs Syndrome Association NI.
The fun-filled afternoon last Thursday included face painting, bouncy castles, arts and crafts and the highly-anticipated Easter Egg Trail.
And with Farrans eager to set up a stall and donate the eggs for the hunt, plenty of the team were also on hand on the day to help local children scavenge for the chocolate goodies!
Cllr. Julie Flaherty, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, paid warm praise to those who “went above and beyond” to make the afternoon a huge success.
“I have dedicated my term as Lord Mayor to celebrating children and young people borough wide, and this was one of my last events as Lord Mayor,” she said.
“I wanted to celebrate the end of my term the same way I began – having fun with the young ones!”
Work progresses well on the new, state-of-the-art £35 million leisure centre in Craigavon, with Farrans set to reach phased completion in 2020.
