Mental Health Awareness Week: Action in Farrans
Last week, our teams came together to support Mental Health Awareness Week through a range of activities focused on wellbeing, community engagement, and open conversations around mental health.
As part of the week, we hosted Mental Health Tea events and delivered three sessions of the “Boots on the Ground” mental health presentation at Anglian Water’s Strategic Pipeline Alliance project and head office locations. The sessions provided an opportunity for colleagues to come together, share experiences, and promote the importance of mental health awareness and support within the workplace.
Alongside these activities, we combined our focus on wellbeing with environmental responsibility by organising a litter-picking morning partnering with the ‘Live here, love here’ initiative in the local area surrounding our head office in Belfast. Spending time outdoors, working collaboratively, and contributing positively to the community helped reinforce the connection between mental wellbeing and physical activity.
Following the morning activities, teams were able to relax together while continuing conversations in a supportive and welcoming environment.
We would like to thank everyone who participated throughout the week and contributed to making the events a success. Initiatives like these continue to strengthen our commitment to supporting wellbeing, encouraging open discussion around mental health, and creating positive impacts within our local communities.
