The Project

The modernisation of the estate was achieved through a series of long-term arrangements using various standard forms of contract.  The first phase of the Strategic Partnership involved the procurement of five schools (one primary and four post primary) using the DBFOM option alongside two design and build nursery schools.

The projects are fully operational including a mixture of youth clubs, primary schools and libraries.

Services & Expertise

Our approach to the Phase 1 projects, saw them awarded Demonstration Project status by Constructing Excellence for innovation, effectiveness and the benefits of the Strategic Partnering Agreement (SPA).  Each individual project has also won awards in their own right including Belfast Boy’s Model School, with the success of the project recognised at the CEF Construction Excellence awards, October 2011, when we won two awards, Education Infrastructure and also Overall Winner for the Best Project.
