Volunteering day adds colour to Silverdale Community Centre

Colleagues from National Highways, WSP in the UK and Griffiths Farrans JV have joined forces for a volunteering day to help refurbish a playground at the Silverdale Community Centre in Clifton, Nottingham.

National Highways appointed a Griffiths Farrans Joint Venture (GFJV) as the main contractor to deliver the final part of a major upgrade to the A52 in Nottingham.

The team sanded and painted fences, added some trellising to raise the height and security of a fence, repaired a sandpit and repaired an outside tap, all as part of the social value and community engagement on this project.

Well done to the team for such a colourful day of work which will make a big difference to the pupils and staff at the centre.
