BBC Scotland features Farrans’ Senior Engineer on exam results day for apprenticeships and careers advice

It’s exam results day in Scotland and our Senior Site Engineer John Casey GMICE spoke to the team at Lunchtime Live on BBC Scotland about his career pathway.

John didn’t get the exam results that he wanted but discovered through a work experience placement with Farrans that he could embark on a civil engineering apprenticeship with us which would take him through college and then on to university, while also being out on site and learning from experienced colleagues.

Now he is the first of his family to graduate and he is working hard towards his Chartership.
