Farrans achieves Achilles Carbon Reduce Reaccreditation
Farrans is proud to announce that we have once again been reaccredited by Achilles under the prestigious Carbon Reduce Programme, reaffirming our commitment to transparent and robust environmental management.
This continued recognition highlights our sustained efforts to measure, verify, and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3, in accordance with the ISO 14064-1 standard and the GHG Protocol.
The Achilles Carbon Reduce Programme audit cycle remains a cornerstone of our journey towards lowering our carbon footprint and aligning with the ambitious target of limiting global warming to 1.5°C, as outlined in the Paris Agreement.
Our reaccreditation demonstrates that we not only comply with best practices but also continue to drive forward our climate action strategies and independent verification.
Farrans is committed to managing and reducing its emissions in accordance with the Achilles Carbon Reduce programme and the development of reduction ‘SMART’ targets (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-constrained) to be implemented.
This is the second year we have been working with Achilles Carbon Reduce and using Toitū Emange to establish a robust emissions inventory. 2024 has become Farrans’ new baseline year with a more complete inventory, accounting for a wider range of scope 3 data.
Victoria Johnston, Sustainability Advisor at Farrans, commented: “Achieving reaccreditation through Achilles is a testament to our ongoing dedication and hard work in tackling carbon emissions. This success reflects the collective effort of our entire team and reinforces our determination to reduce our company’s environmental impact year on year. I would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and contribution to this important journey. We look forward to building on this achievement, setting new targets, and implementing further strategies to systematically reduce our emissions.”
