Farrans tops out at Clore Manor ahead of programme

18.08.2026

Our team at Clore Manor is making excellent progress as they reach completion of the concrete frame ahead of programme.

Farrans is designing and constructing a modern and efficient 6-floor care home which will have 108 bedrooms and underground parking facilities for our client the Care Concern Group.

The site, which is on the south side of the Great North Way in the Borough of Barnet, previously comprised of a 3-storey care home.

Envelope works are progressing with scaffold – SFS – windows and brickwork are all being installed. Roof works are underway, with four roofs hot melted. Early initiatives are in place to ensure water tightness with the goal to have the building completely watertight ahead of winter. Internals have also started with partitions, UFH and screeding. MEP has started on site.

Construction began in July 2025 and is expected to last until late 2027. Marney Construction delivered the concrete frame element.

Gerard Fennell, Project Manager for Farrans, said: “This is a very challenging site in a high population area with access directly from a busy road. Managing logistics and material deliveries has involved a lot of co-ordination with multiple stakeholders and it makes remaining ahead of schedule on our concrete frame a significant achievement for our team. As the building comes together we are looking forward to achieving the quality of fit-out our client has specified and collaboration will continue between all parties as we reach this. We would like to thank the local community and our supply chain for their support as we carry out this project.”
