National award for Keynsham Recycling Hub in Bath

We are proud to announce that Farrans’ Keynsham Recycling Hub project has been selected as the National Winner in the Best Non-Residential New Build category at the LABC Awards.

This prestigious recognition celebrates excellence in construction quality, technical innovation and collaboration, and is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in delivering this important piece of infrastructure.

Located in East Sussex, £37m Keynsham Recycling Hub was built for client Bath & North East Somerset Council completed on time and on budget. It is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to improve the efficiency, safety and sustainability of household waste and recycling operations for the local community. The project includes a new split-level layout that allows residents to deposit materials safely while maximising recycling rates, alongside high-quality welfare, operational and traffic management facilities.

The scheme presented a number of technical and logistical challenges, including working within a constrained site, maintaining operations in a busy public environment, and meeting demanding environmental and sustainability standards. Through close collaboration with the client, designers, local authority and supply chain, our team successfully delivered a robust, high-performing facility that supports long-term environmental goals and provides an improved experience for users and staff alike.

Being named national winner in the Best Non-Residential New Build category is a significant endorsement of the quality of construction, attention to detail, and commitment to best practice demonstrated throughout the project lifecycle.
