FSJV team take on Dragon Boat Race for Air Ambulance NI
A team of 13 people from Farrans Sacyr JV who are delivering Belfast Grand Central Station, including Project Director Duane McCreadie and Project Manager David Bolton, will be getting into a Dragon Boat on Thursday 4th September to compete in a race on the River Lagan.
They will be joined by a willing group made up of our site engineers, site managers, commercial team, design team and stakeholder and social value team raising money for Air Ambulance NI.
The charity, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for Northern Ireland. The service brings urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week for 12 hours per day. It can get to anywhere in Northern Ireland in approximately twenty-five minutes.
The HEMS team attend patients who are seriously ill or injured, bringing emergency pre-hospital care direct to the casualty with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs.
Air Ambulance NI needs to raise £2million each year to maintain this service so public donations are crucial.
